I can’t believe how much attention and traffic I’ve been getting since I launched my JavaScript Image Cropper UI, the response has been amazing. The traffic is huge compared to what I was getting, and a lot more than I was expecting to get when I launched the site little over 8 months ago.
It has already had over 650 downloads with over 450 being of the latest version. I’m excited about the comments I’ve been getting on the cropper and I’ve been fascinated when following all the incoming links to the cropper to see where people are coming from and what people are saying about it.
Anyway I’ve set up a private bug & feature request list for the cropper to keep track of everything and hopefully I’ll be able to keep on top of them.
In other news, I’m obviously back from my holiday and I still have lots of catching up to do. I have a couple of other code releases to put on the site (once again JavaScript related - honestly I didn’t realise I’d started to do so much JS) and try to get back into posting about things other than my code releases.
Also when I was releasing the JavaScript Image Cropper UI I really noticed how much this theme had begun to bug me, mostly for it’s lack of definition and space. It’s a tweaked version of a great WordPress theme, it has served me well, but I feel it’s time for a change. So I have created a design from scratch which is fully mocked up and in the initial stages of HTML & CSS implementation, but with the other 1001 things going on at the moment I’m not sure when that will see the light of day.
Anyway thanks again for the fantastic response to the cropper and hopefully I’ll return to a more normal service soon.
